I also have the Triban 5 the 2013 black/graphite coloured one. will mudguards not just bump up the weight of the bike? After all its less than 10kgs new.

Just a thought.

As it's got bosses like 400 mentions then I'd go for the Raceblade Longs.

They're more substantial than the Crud Road Racers, which IMO are only designed for bikes without bosses and therefore no other option.

I wouldn't.

I'd go for proper mudguards - not a compromise set for road bikes that weren't designed to take guards.

If it's got the clearance then I completely agree, I just assumed that clearance was an issue for proper guards.

The gap between the brake bridges and the wheel is pretty large (IMO there's a bit of an issue with the stock brakes on the bike-they just about reach the rim), so should be fine for fixed mudguards.

The two I've posted are the most popular amongst owners - the price being the main factors of ownership I believe. The T5 (now widely referred to as the T5 but more correctly described as the T5a as it's is the new version in 2013) and T3a (new white version for 2013) have much better clearance than the old T3 (red one) in terms of distance above forks and calliper space - there shouldn't be any hassles sourcing mudguards for the T5a (the dark grey one).

Amongst owners of 5A's?

Not really the Crudcatchers no - fair point, I've not been clear ... the Raceblades appear to be the most popular for the T5a and that's why it was posted first above, with the practically disposable price level Cruds posted as a second choice.
