Btwin Saddle replacement

Hi All,

Recently got a new b'twin bike for the missis however the saddle is reather uncomfortable. We have been lokking at replacements however noticed the bottom connector on the btwin does not look standard, it is two plactic slots opposed to a normal bar. Are these interchangeable or do i need to get a new seat post connector thing first?

I've just been on t'interweb trying to see a picture of the fitting and couldn't find one. However the saddle I did find stated that it was for btwin bikes only which suggests there may be something non-standard. Someone who owns a b'Twin will probably be along shortly

Never tried to change the seat on mine, though I know Monkspeed has - maybe PM him? It looks to me that once you unscrew the seat post you'll be able to change a seat onto the same bracket.

The Triban 3 is definitely standard. I replaced my saddle the other day. No mention of the model in the RyanW's post.

look at your bike fit withh saddle height and setback/tilt before changing the saddle.

Thanks cyber, we have already played with all the adjustments, its just to hard apparently.

padded shorts?
My saddle is hard but comfortable over many miles,although if it is for a lady maybe the saddle width is not wide enough as they have wider pelvis i believe.
gel/padded saddles are ok for short distances but on longer rides you tend to sink in and chaff.
