Yeah, I got one in mid-June, mine came with the maps pre-installed onto the microSD card in with the DVD, just had to pop it into the Rider 50. The BrytonGPS forum is good for support issues. The maps can not be installed into internal memory they need to be on a microSD card, some people on the forum did not have the card in the box and had to buy a card and install the maps themselves. Hope you get the maps working, have navigated a few rides using mine and found it works great.

Folders and earthdata on the microSD card:

Had a go at installing maps onto a new blank microSD card, this is what I did:

instructions at http://www.brytonsport.com/help/insmap

put blank 2gb microSD into rider 50
put Navteq HD street map dvd into pc
logged in to my maps screen (register at http://www.brytonsport.com if needed)
clicked add maps
selected SD card location
selected maps I wanted on card
Bryton Bridge then imported maps onto card (took about 20 mins)
when finished importing maps unplugged Rider 50 and maps showed up when it rebooted

Ok slight cross here I did get ad card with maps on but there is a new hd version of maps which I have DVD for but can not down load it on to my sd card very frustrating!!! And there support is rubbish why should I rely on a forum ?? I do really like it bit it's driving me maaaad

Slighty OT, but I got a Rider 35 a few weeks ago, and it's on it's way back to Merlin as there are just too many quirks/faults with it.

The cadence sensor works then it doesn't , the PC recognises it then it doesn't. If just find it too unreliable TBH
