Nice ride Gaz, but do the climbs really peak at 4% or is that gradient chart on your blog grossly inaccurate? Might download that as a course from your Garmin page and do it with a bit of a detour out to see Jodrell bank sometime soon.

I've no idea, my garmin said anything from 6-12% but I dunno if that's right either

It's a great ride !

I bumped into a load of riders off it who had got lost because there was no signage going onto the A34 at a t junction near Marton. I had just come down from Winkle where my mate had crashed into a hedge on a steep hairpin.

I'd forgotten about the shitty ( lack of ) signs at the top of the cat

I know of someone who added 15 Miles onto the ride because of it

Most of the climbs on the route are upto 12% - nothing too bad, just drags.

It is unfortunately one event I won't do as most of the roads I ride on a regular basis, and I used to work at Booths Hall site so commuted out there all the time.

It's handy having the Garmin, as we shouted after a load of riders who missed a major turn on the Cheshire Cat just after the Holmes Chapel feed station.

Sadly bruntwood didn't release a route file , but for me or anyone else in the future it's there on my garmin page to be downloaded for future use, if I wasn't watching out at almost every jct for the first 40 miles then I'd have been quicker ;)

Ps Foz, was my time respectable ?
