Evening all, just a quick question about a Brooks saddle and its' care . I have a B17 Standard and bought a cover for it as soon as it was on the bike. I have SKS Chromoplastics on the bike too and a rack and permanent bag on that. Question is: Should I leave the cover on or just have it on there when not using the bike. The Saddle rarely gets wet and is undercover or indoors unless my (average sized) bum is on it. It's a Brooks cover and I keep a bar towel in the rack bag to dry it off after a ride in the wet. Useful for a quick wipe down for the rest of the frame too.
What's the agreed practice? The cover is nice but I'd rather not actually ride on it if I can avoid it.
Thanks for any help.

Appreciated, thank you. Did seem a little unlikely that I should ride on it but was curious on the general consensus.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...

Often available (free!) from a dispenser at the entrance to the changing rooms at your local swimming pool/leisure centre, or for not much money on ebay for lots and lots of them. Fit most saddles beautifully, and take up no room in a jersey pocket. Doubles as a rack bag cover
