Always wanted one. Bought one and it looks fantastic, although not broken in yet. My question is about the cover, which I also bought. I know that leaving the saddle out in the rain is a big mistake as it can apparently go out of shape, so got the cover in case I have to leave it parked in the rain. Can I also keep the cover on when riding in the rain? I know my arse will cover most of it, but the cover should keep it completely dry, but will this cause any problems whilst riding - I'm thinking creases in the cover here. Anyone got any thought? Ta

I have never owned a saddle cover and have regularly ridden my various Brooks in the rain (without mudguards) as well as parking them in the rain. The only precaution I take is the initial Proofiding above and below as recommended by Brooks. I have never had any problem with saddles going out of shape or even getting damp.

Most people's experience seems to be the same as mine. Rich P is a notable exception: I don't know whether he got a duff one, but apparently he had one almost disintegrate under him.

Personally I wouldn't bother covering it at all. Just proof it properly and if you are concerned about spray from below, stuff a placky bag under it.

same here - mine is proofed below and mostly protected from spray by the spare tube in a snap bag I keep there.
