The tension pin on my B17 sheared so I ordered a new one. I thought it would be easy to replace but I can't seem to get it right. Any suggestions?

I replaced my bolt using a large, flat bladed screwdriver placed on the bolt end and
underneath the saddle nose piece and then the cover was levered back into
position (lever up and towards the rear of the saddle).

My much-loved Brooks has not been nearly as comfy as it used to be

in a couple of long (5 hr+) rides a year or so ago.

I am therefore interested in what you have done to your Brooks, why you did it and what the result was.

Have you tightened it up a lot ?

Why ?

For what benefit were you aiming ?

Did it get better - before the bolt sheared ?

How did you manage to shear the bolt ?
