Brompton telescopic seatpost ???

Follwing the included printed installation instructions which came with the telescopic seatpost, they refer to removing the 2 o-rings which live beneath the PentaClip in order to remove the standard seatpost, but never re-visits installing them onto the telescopic seatpost despite detailed directions for the entire operation.

Anyone know if the o-rings are supposed to go back onto the optional telescopic seatpost same as the standard one, or not?

The purpose of these o-rings is to avoid the pentaclip hitting the top of the frame when folding and thus to crash the paint. As this cannot happen with the telescopic post you don't need the o-rings there.
