I've decided to go for it before autumn kicks in properly. Can't afford the SON but hey hum.
I've read a couple of negative reviews about the front light not being overly robust in cold weather, last one just now on Evans site, that could be an issue as this'll still be my year round and for early/late in the day riding bike.
so hivemind: is it that bad in reality and even if not is it worth replacing anyway?
I like B&M and particularly Trelock dyno lights (£30-40 gets perfectly good for what I need) but the ones I know are good enough for the properly dark bits of my riding are the tall narrow type - does anyone have that type of light in conjunction with a luggage block, as the clearance below the bag doesn't look all that generous to set a tall light up and angle it just so.
I'm going to have a little play and fit one from another bike just to see the clearances but real life experience with it lit and working would be much appreciated.
