Discovered a broken spoke on my Boardman CX this morning.

First problem - It's on the rear wheel - drive side, so I can't get it out without cutting the spoke (no wire cutters that will do the job at the office) or removing the cassette (no cassette removal tool at the office) I can't seem to bend it around enough to get it past the biggest cassette ring.
Any ideas apart from bike shop at lunch?

Secondly, the bike is only 6 months old. Should spoke breakages be covered under warranty, or is breaking a spoke like getting a puncture in that regard? For wheel rebuilding and truing, I'd rather go to the LBS rather than Halfords if not covered.

Poundland at lunch for cutters/pliers? I have replaced a spoke on a rear without disassembly...

LBS it was for a 'while you wait' job complete with Van Halen ambiance... and a fine job they did too. I now have 1 shiny chrome and 31 jet black spokes!! (Got to be better than walking home though eh?)
