Broken ribs hurting again

In June 2014 a VW Caddy van knocked me off my bike. I broke the bottom four ribs on my right side. This afternoon they started to hurt again. Is it normal or should I get it checked out? I haven't done anything remotely strenuous!

Two years is a long time for any bone to heal. It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks.
Your pain is no longer due to broken ribs. Reasons for pain in the right lower chest are many. You need to see a doctor.

I have had cracked ribs after an OTB tree stump,Me interface grrrrr and i had to work with them..
i often tear or pull muscles under my ribs straining with heavy stuff at work, which feel similar to the cracked rib pain..

its take it easy time ,and a visit to a good physio often helps in my case..as it may be a nerve thats pinched in your back..sharp pain in the chest when you inhale deeply?

see a Dr if your concerned as a referal may be needed..

Thanks midliferider and meta lon. I have made an appointment with the duty doctor this afternoon to get it checked out.

Sorted. Saw a doctor this afternoon. She said all is well. As meta lon said it was probably a pulled muscle or something. How that happened is a complete mystery given my current low level of activity!

See your GP, it's probably something else, unless you've broken one again (a sneeze could do it!)
