Our tandem has a oujimaflip ratchety thingamibob for gear cable adjustment.

The broken bit (I think this should be a full circle, not a semi circle), shown against 4mm hex for scale:

519664

Should fit in the gap here:

519665

I've never seen one if these before and even the tandem has a more normal screw adjuster on the other side:

519667

So: what's it called and anyone know where to source a spare from?

In the meantime, the broken part is back in, held under tension. Don't want to rely on that in perpetuity.

Don't think Shimano supply the right-hand adjuster in that design any more (although they can probably be found as new old stock on eBay) - both sides now come from Shimano as screw adjusters like your left-hand one.

The screw ones in any case provide more adjustability....but if the rear derailleur has an adjuster built in, one rarely needs to use the adjuster on the down tube (although on a tandem with a long cable run they may get more use I suppose).
