Been cycling for a little while now but took quite a lot of time off over the summer holidays (I'm a teacher...I know....holidays). For the last few weeks I was cycling into work maybe once or twice a week but nothing more. This week was the first week back and on Wednesday my knee felt a bit funny. Was very stiff when I woke up on Thursday (no jokes please!) but I decided to cycle in anyway. Was sore but manageable but then woke up this morning and my knee is slightly swollen but was amazingly stiff and very sore to bend. Was stood up for most of the day (primary school teachers don't just sit at a desk!!!) now I'm home it's very sore. Presume I've just strained it and need to rest it but any ideas about how to get back on the bike as soon as possible...I can drive in but hate it!!!
