broken cassette plastic separator ring ...

I bought a 9-spd cassette online - Shimano HG90 - it arrived but one of the plastic separator rings arrived shattered to pieces.

Do I need to return it, or can I use one of the plastic rings from the old cassette (also a 9-spd)?

I'd check it for other damage and if it's OK use the old spacer to keep me going. You might want to see what the seller has to say first though.

Thanks. Bought from Ribble - well-known but it's my first purchase from them. They do have a return policy. I dont think I will bother, though, if all else is undamaged.

I had one broken in two a while back (due to my cackhandedness, not suppliers fault) - just superglued it back together. It's not loadbearing so works just fine.
Or as you say - use one from an old cassette.
