Broke saddle

I had an accident on my bike last week, no fault of my own I might add! My saddle hit the road, flexed that much the one rail popped out of it's holder connected to the underside of the saddle. Has anyone ever managed to get the rail back into the holder or is this wishful thinking. My wrists are still not fully recovered so haven't had a proper go at fixing it yet, just wondered if anyone had encountered this before?

No - I've had rails break tho (death of saddle). You may be able to get it back in tho'. You'll need a good bench mounted vice and some way of gripping and flexing the other part. Wait till your wrists have recovered tho'

The other option is - make a claim for damages from the author of the accident and buy a new saddle.
