Hi all,

Newbie here.

After a long stint of just riding my MTB around occassionally I intend to buy a new road race bike and get back to what I am more used to.

I have been deliberating the bike to buy but that is a separate issue. I notice that by joining British Cycling I can get 15% off Halfords bikes and bits. It doesnt give any small print about exclusions etc and one of the bikes I was considereing is a Boardman Comp. Can anybody help and does this mean I could circa £90 off the bike?.....that'd be good!

I wouldnt disagree with that myself..........but they have the Boardman stranglehold so there is no choice....for that bike anyway.

Worth jointing for the third party cover, especially if you are riding most days.

Certainly good if it get's you 15% off the boardman

Stay away from halfords.

I wouldn't say stay away from Halfords, I've heard good things about the boardman bikes, just once you buy it get it checked somewhere else.
