Brifter hood slipping loose!

Driving me mad this, I have Ultegra brifters and the rubber hood on the left side keeps working itself loose ever since I replaced the cable on that side and had to peel it back. No matter how hard I try to pop the rubber bits back on place it sure enough works loose mid-ride and I have to stop and try and press it all back in place again. Tedious and driving me insane, any ideas?

Give it a good clean, soap and water. Sweat can make them greasy, and oily fingers.

Try some hairspray, but be careful not to get it on the insides, just spray a tiny bit on the hoods themselves and put them back into place, should become sticky and hold it in place.
