I know most can fix minor issues with a roadside kit but I just wondered if it exists.

You can buy basic B&R for you car for what £20?

Any similar sercive for cycles?

Yes, it's often included with insurance for bikes.

It often doesn't cover you for punctures and they're unlikely to fix anything beside the road, they'll just drop you off at a railway station / bike shop.

Do they operate out of major towns/cities though?

if it takes them a couple of hours to get to you then you might as well push...

check out the CTC they have a deal with a recovery company: two levels mechanicals only or punctures included. Covers on and off road bikes with the requirement that pick up is only from a road
