Break blocks

I am changing my break blocks on my bike, which type are best.
Is there one for all seasons

What brakes do you have, rims, and what riding do you do??

the bike is a Raleigh venture pioneer the wheels are Alex rims 19 DH.
the bike is used for pleasure and commuting

In that case just just stranded V brake pads I can't see why you would go out and spend loads on them as it will be hard for you to tell what all the money has been spent on.

Fibrax do economical blocks for alloy rims. I'm lucky 'cus Fibrax supply bits to Land Rover, and when they have a sales demo at Gaydon, I go over and grab a handful of giveaway freebies from the young lady who demonstrates the automotive products.
Those Fibrax blocks work fine.
