break bleed kits?

Hi,

a few weeks ago i was recommended to purchase this brake bleed kit

but i notice there are two versions pre 2012 and post 2012. im going to bleed a hard tail mtb merida big nine 100, but cant locate year of manufacturer.

should i buy both kits?
