hi looking at doing more and more for my bike this week its brake pad replacing,

looking at my specs i have Tektro cold-forged, dual pivot with cartridge pad need advice on firstly which pads to replace the standards with and any tips/how to change these.

I presume these are v-brakes, if so just do a search on youtube for v-brakes. There are some very good vids to show you how.

Koolstops every time! To replace the pads, pull out the split pin and slide the pad out of the cartridge. To replace, reverse of removal.

I presume these are v-brakes, if so just do a search on youtube for v-brakes. There are some very good vids to show you how.
No they're a sort of cross between side pull and centre pull calipers.

Standard road bike brake. Usually, you undo a allen-head screw, and then the pad will slide out. Use a reputable make of Shimano-compatible pad, slide it in, put the screw back and you're done.
I tend to use Kool-Stop, Aztec or Clarke pads, pink at the front and standard at the rear.
Just be wary - pink KoolStops will stop you a helluva lot quicker than a Tektro pad...
