Noticed on ride this morning that front brake lever kicks right out. Checked for any type of span adjustment but nothing. Any ideas how to adjust to same as rear lever ?

That little silver button just above the brake lever pivot - give it a push and see what happens.
That lets the lever out further so the brakes move away from the rims and you can get the wheel out.
I thought that's what original poster had done to one of his levers. (Perhaps I misunderstood.)

Nope, that's how it came and I only noticed whilst riding today

Sorry I should have said "I thought that might be the problem" rather than implying that you had done it yourself. As User explained that button, in combination with a different depth of the 'V' shaped cut out in the hood allows the lever to move further away from the bars.

looks like either it's in a slightly different position on the bars [doesn't need to be much] or it's got a bit bent

Your a clever bunch of chaps ! Pushed the button and lever back in place, had to adjust front disc brake pads then as tight on disc. Quick twist of the 3mm Allan wrench and alls good.

Thanks for everyone's help I appreciate it.

Freedom bikes. Maybe just came out in transit and I never noticed or maybe I caught it when I put it together but today was first proper ride and was paying attention to everything, adjusted seat height a fraction when I stopped, moved cleats on shoes etc etc. But everything else seems good so not unduly concerned.
Oh strangely the front disc caliper cable did run from right bar and down back of headstock which kinda didn't sit right so I unmounted the whole caliper and fed it across front and down fork leg and it sits much better......apart from that, all was good
