I've not got much experience of fettling road bikes and hope the collective knowledge on here will tell me if these brakes:

will fit this frame:

Not a brilliant photo, sorry - it's an old-ish steel Raleigh frame.

I'm OK with the drop, but unsure about the mount to the frame.

Thanks.

Check the diameter of the hole on the frame. If it's 6mm/1/4" as most older ones were, it will ideally need the type of caliper which has a long bolt and normal hexagonal nut to hold it on.

If the hole is 8mm, it takes a caliper with a shorter mounting bolt and"recessed" nut which fits into the frame.

There are work-arounds for this if need be like drilling out the fork crown and using a front caliper on the back as the longer threads will fit through the bridge and allow the use of a normal nut and washer.

With 39-51mm those brakes have shallow drop, you should measure the vertical distance between the centre of the hole and the centre of the braking surface on your wheel to ensure it is within that range. If not you will need to get longer drop brakes.

For options tyred referred to above on fitting modern brakes on older frames see this.
