Brake Bleeding - I actually managed it

I am well chuffed, after 5 goes at it, I actually did it, easy once you know how.

I few weeks ago, I tried to see why my rear disc brake was catching, and I was new to hydraulic brakes, I really did not know what I was doing. anyway....

removed said disc pads, forgetting the locking clip on the oher side
one plunger thing came out ...
decided to take said brake of frame and take apart...
brake fluid every where.

So I finally cleaned the bike up after the 3 dreadful months of winter and got me the avid bleed kit and wow I got it in the end, well chuffed, feel like a real man.

Excellent. Never had discs myself, but done cars loads, and the bleed kit is the main thing.

Ive got avid eliir 3 and they look a total mare to bleed.

Nice one Kevin.
I did the same myself a few weeks ago on my Avid Elixir R. The instructions with the kit are pretty good and the YouTube video helps make sense of it all. I was well chuffed to get it done myself. But flip me, it took some squeezing on the syringe I thought something was going to pop!

First few times Avid can be a bit of a pig but you get used to 'em. Hayes are the ones that I don't like as the bleed kit is poorly made IMHO.
