This makes me extremely angry.
A litany of concerns raised with TfL over the layout of junctions for cyclists on flagship 'superhighways' combined with the loss of traffic free routes with the development of the Olympic site, the penalisation of cycling counter to the Home Office guidelines, the penalisation of what appear to be legitimate cyclists, the crass belief by those implementing those penalties that 300g of polystyrene offers magical protection from the millions of joules of kinetic energy whizzing past a cyclist's elbow, plus a growing acknowledgement (in the light of recent cyclist deaths and the failure of the judicial system to provide adequate recourse to their friends and relatives) that construction traffic is taking an unacceptable number of lives on London's streets. All of this underlined by the devastating deaths of two cyclists at the same location, where all these factors are at play.
It's time to kick up an unholy stink.
