Raleigh Avanti Pro (58cm) with SPD SL 5650 pedals, Air Tool full size pump, Cateye Velo 5, Elite bottle cage, Topeak Micro wedge pack with tube, levers etc.. 9.4kg

Giant Defy 4 (L) with SPD M520 pedals, Giant mini pump, bottle cage, Cateye Velo 5, Topeak mini wedge with tube and levers, Giant full mudguards. 12kg

B'Twin Rockrider 5.2 (XL) with SPD M520 pedals, SMART lights, bottle cage. Veloset computer. 14kg

B'Twin Elops 5 (M) with basket, mudguards, dynamo lights and bell 18kg

I thought the Avanti was heavier, naked weight would be about 8.5kg I reckon. Not bad for a £500 bike.

That's gotta be good really. (Wife's nagging... ask him.. have you used any other scales to see how accurate it is? )

How easy are they to switch on? The comments in the review section mention not being sure how to switch them on. Just a smart tap in the right place?

They are always on, there is no switch.
I had them for a couple of years, not sure if it's the battery going low but if I move them around the room, they give me a different reading
so now I weigh myself always in the same spot!

How do you fit a bike on those? Wouldn't fisherman's scales do a better job?

I did this recently and was suprised to find that my Pinnacle Dolomite was 10.9kg and my ancient Ribble R4 mountain bike with Mazzochi Bomber oil-filled suspension forks was 9.4kg. When I brought the road bike I expected it to be lighter than my MTB having never weighed it  .
