Are GXP regular (English thread) bottom brackets and BB30 press fit interchangeable? Can either be used on any frame?

They are not interchangeable, but you can use a GXP bb in a frame for bb30 by using an adapter.

Thanks RAFN. I have done some other research and this does appear to be a difficult area that may explain the lack of response. When I am done, and the proof is in the pudding as the USAsians say, I will post my findings.
For example is a BB30 bottom bracket chain set specific?

Generally you need a chainset specific to the BB you have although there are adapters available.
