I removed my bottle bracket trying too track down a rattle. When I went too put the screws back into the frame too keep them safe I one got cross threaded and the the little bit it screws into turns with the screw now.
Any little tricks to get it out ? Mechanics of any sort are not my strong point unfortunately. Or will I be better off waiting until the next visit too the bike shop

"the little bit it screws into" is a "Rivnut"
You might be able to retighten it in the frame with a rivnut tool. You can bodge one using a Q/R front hub and a few washers - if the thread is salvageable.

Drilling the little feckers out is "not easy".

A small screwdriver held against the allan bolt body or pushed up against underside of bolt head and unscrew bolt.

As said the offending article is called a Rivnut or Avdale and use the same principle as a pop rivet, I know it's not much help to you but I have the right bit of kit for setting these and so should any decent engineering firm so try and find a friendly one.
