It's called "Downhill All the Way" by Edward Enfield (Harry's Dad as it happens)
and signed too!
It's a quirky travelogue of his cycle tour through France at the age of 61 and was written in 1994. He writes like a amusing old codger with a nice line in wit but it has the feel of being from a much nicer, gentler age. Very enjoyable in a lighthearted way.
Here's a paragraph plucked at random,
I set off thinking what a funny thing wine tasting is. I remember a man called Robin Illius saying,'The trouble with Hock is that it tastes like ink.' Everyone else said, 'Don't talk nonsense.' 'Well,' he said, 'you obviously don't know what ink tastes like. Not good ink, anyway'
I'll pull a name from a hat if anyone is interested.
