Bontrager race 2012 v mavic ksyrium elite s

i have a trek madone 5.2 which came equipped with the bontrager race 2012 wheelset. I am seriously considering getting a set of mavic ksyrium equipe swheels as they review well, fit my price range and style of riding (I believe!) but I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has a similar bike and has made a similar upgrade to enquire if it is actually worth it. I'm looking for a performance improvement but can find out very little about the bontrager wheels, would the mavics be a decent upgrade?
