Bontrager Bmx?

I found this bike on marketplace today. The seller has it for 40 bucks. Which isn’t a lot of money to be fair but I don’t want more crap in my garage. Well I googled the heck out of it and can’t find a answer. The bike is all black, but I like to fix them up and have a compressor and stuff. He said it is a Trek Bontrager Bmx bike.
But I can’t find out which one. All I really want too know if it is before the trek era or no. On the seat there is a red claw bontrager logo.

Looks like it may have had a black after market paint job with some Bontrager stickers?

The gyro on the brakes looks out of place. Nothing stopping anyone adding one after though.
