We're all quick to flag up shoddy equipment or service so I think it's also worth acknowledging quality goods and service once in a while.
Being the idiot that I am, I quite often end up putting equipment through a lot more than intended. Beer in a TV and fish tanks on flimsy shelves being two examples (don't ask about mobile phones).
So, my latest cock up prompted me to write this thread. I own Lezyne Micro And Macro lights which I've not issue with since purchase two years ago. After a rather sodden return from a ride the other day I chucked all my kit in the washing machine (40 degree, 1200 spin, full cycle). You guessed it, my lights were in my pocket and bumped their way through 1 hr and 10 mins of Persil persecution. Once retrieved, things didn't appear too positive but I chucked them in an old sock and hung them on the radiator. 72 hrs later I recharged them without much hope. To my utter amazement they took the charge. Ive been out for 3 hrs today and the both work as well as they did before their ordeal, though the paint is a little chipped.
It's rare to find nappa proof equipment these days but I can definitely vouch for these lights. I'm always buying new kit (mainly because of my clumsiness) It'd be great if others shared their bombproof pieces of equipment so fools like me can buy with confidence.

Maybe we should pay you to test stuff before we buy - if it's "nappa proof" we know it's worth spending money on!

My Vistalite VL-300 must be knocking on for 25 years old and is still going strong. One of the first (if not the first) LED rear lights you could get. Five LEDs with three modes: steady, flash or chase, for when you want to pretend you're Knight Rider. It's not very bright by today's standards but the lens doubles as a reflector so it's fine in a headlight beam. Not BS certified as it predates* the approval of LED lights for road use. Mounts on a standard reflector mount, horizontal or vertical. I still use it as my single rear light for commuting. Of course this is not much of a recommendation as you can't get them any more but I do love it.

ETA: You can get hold of them still it seems
