I'm looking to attach my trailer to my fixie. The problem is the trailer attaches using an adapted quick release.

I've seen the product bob nutz, which looks to be near enough exactly what I want; but at £30, they're rather expensive.

Anyone know of a cheap solution?
It just needs to be something that sticks out either side of the dropouts like BMX stunt pegs but with a bit of a collar at the end so the tailer can't just slide off.

Sorry mate But I think that there is no over way as the nutz are the hitch for all the Bob's. I would all so think about a chain tugs as the trailer can yank the nutz hard if you ride anything like me where I have bent the QR's in the past!

No, I haven't tried any US dealers. I suspect that with the current exchange rate I wont be that much better off. I would just order them (and the chain tugs) at £12 but at £30 they'll cost me more than the trailer did!

Edinburgh Bike co-op sell a made-in taiwan copy of the Bob

Bingo!!!
They look ideal. I've got a cheap Taiwan copy trailer too.

I was a little worried the bob nuts wouldn't quite fit but those look spot on.

Thanks Andy for that excellent find and thank Spandex for offering to get me the Bob Nuts a little bid cheaper.

Just an observation, the Edinburgh co-op ones look very long, I imagine they should be as short as you can get away with, to put as little strain on the axle as possible.

I will be pulling the trailer with a fixed wheel bike. It's somewhat unlikely they'll be any huge uphill accelerations with that weight on the back. Fingers crossed they're suitable.
