Don't usually engage with RIP threads but Bob was one on my favourite comedians back in the day.

Made it to 94 so good going.

I used to love his one sided phone conversations. The one with Walt (sir Walter Raleigh) was classic.
TBH I had no idea he was still going until it was on the news.

Very clever comedian, his deadpan delivery was key to his humour. Loved his 'driving instructor' sketch but I guess today it would be called sexist.

I never heard of him, possible I've seen him but didn't know the name...but that joke tickled me.

Like Dave Allan, he had the ability to draw your imagination into the story he was telling. I have an LP of his with some of his classic tales.

Someone I know put that one up on Facebook and I ended up watching it. Have to admit it had me laughing out loud a couple of times. Can’t think of any modern comedians that can do that.

Was he the one who did a sketch about training bus drivers? He said check your mirrors for people running for the bus and admonished one driver who set off too early because the person running gave up when about 100 yards away, "you need to time it so they are closer".
