I believe the 2010 version was by far the best you could get for £1k.

£300 more for:

shimano 105 gruppo... I prefer the SRAM tbh
Mavic wheels... definitely better
Fizik Saddle... definitely better
Boardman finishing kit... probably negligable with the ritchey stuff.
White seat and tape... definitely flashier

In conclusion... a great deal for £1.3k but would have been fantastic for £1k.

I got mine on C2W though so I'll end up paying £600-700 for it. Now that is a bargain.

I just got the Boardman Comp through C2W and its a great bike., after riding it i had to stop twice on my commuter (a virtuoso) as it felt so heavy that i though t i had a flat .

If you compare spec on other 2011 bikes you are still getting a really good deal for the spec on offer

But surely you use the Boardman to go to work on?

After all, that's what the C2W scheme is for, isn't it?

Haha Cyberknight, watch out for the tax inspectors on here!!

What if you have 2 cycle to work bikes that are still in the hire period... could be a tricky cycle

I love my Boardman I have had it for a couple of years now. I have not had a single problem with it.

Light fast and affordable... what more to say?

I have the 2010 Team carbon and it's a great ride. Light as a feather and get's up to speed very quickly. A bit lightweight on the top end but great for spinning. SRAM is a quality set up and as smooth as you like. The off set centre tech on the rear Richie wheels is a strange concept but they run beautifully for a very good descent speed.Well worth £1k in my eyes
