Hi Everyone,

I am looking to change from long distance touring to road riding.
I am looking for a new bike and have come across the Boardman Team Carbon Pro and was wondering
what everyone thought of it, and if they had other bikes for around a similar rice that they could recommend?

Also If anyone knows of a decent bike shop in Luton I would be very interested to find out where it was.

Cheers

Chris

I always say the same, whatever the pricepoint of a bike is Chris...take any bike (well almost anyway) at a particular pricepoint...they're almost the same. For me it comes down to personal preference of a bike generally, even the colour can swing it for you.
I remember looking for my first serious roadbike. At the time i just didnt like Trek, loved the Bianchis, considered an Orbea but hated the colour schemes and found Specialized a bit 'plain' looking.
The truth is they're all fine bikes, so is the Boardman. A colleague has one (Carbon Pro) and loves it. The only thing i didnt like was the handlebars, they look 'shallow' to me, i just dont like the angles of the bars. But thats just a minor detail.

I dont think there's a bad one out there (of the major manufacturers), its just down to personal preference.

Good luck finding the one you want BTW

You can't decide from the look of a bike; you really have to ride it because every one will have a different feel.

The 'feel' of a bike is millimeters difference in saddle and handlebar positioning. That can be sorted with an Allen key.

If you make it good enough to ride on a Pro team, they measure you up, go away and come back with a bike that is built around your dimensions. Then you get an Allen key out of the toolbox.

Ride on a Pro team. They give you the bike and you have to ride it.
