Wondering if anyone can help was thinking about getting the CX boardman team 2016 I like the gear components on it and I like it could prob take my weight 6,2 18 stone. Has anyone put road slick tires on one of these ? If so how did it go planning on doing some big rides next year.

I put 28mm semi slick on my 2014 boardman cx. Works well but a fair bit of space between tyres/forks. Doesn't look too out of place in my opinion.

I got the 2014 version and changed the tyres for 28s, rides fine

I'm 18 stone, maybe a bit less now but also 6'2"

My avatar is the bike, I've fixed up the mudguards and now looks better

Which mudguards are they, mine is being winter-fied ready for commuting and next job is mudguards.
Cannot remember now, they were from halfords, about 30 quid if I recall correctly, they were exactly what I was after, long enough to do the job but thin enough not to dominate the bikes looks

They don't rattle and work really well
