Yes I noted the boardman seatpost has a lot of layback, which wasn't a problem with the charge spoon saddle I was using. Now I've switched to a specialized BG Romin saddle the seatpost has now become a problem. The saddle is a lot more forward, than the charge spoon was, so now the seatpost clamp is almost at the rear end of the Romin rails (bar about 3mm from the bend in the rails). I want to correct this by adding an in-line seatpost to bring the clamp more central to the saddle rails.
I know it's rather safe as it is, but with the roughness of some of the roads on my cycling routes, I wouldn't want a rail to snap a number of miles from home.
