Blue Flowers - ITV 4

Anyone know what the little blue flowers are that Chris Boardman and whatsisface were sporting at the end of the highlights show are for?

(googled every combination of tdf and blue flower and got zip)

My guess is that they are what are known as cornflowers in UK. They are the French flowers for Remembrance. (Todays stage started at Ypres).

That would be why Gary Imlach apologised for using a warfare metaphore then! I did wonder why he did that.
