It was absolutely baking (for me) out and about early this afternoon. I went for what ended up being 45 miles over to Whitchurch, Malpas and back via Marbury and Wrenbury. I probably should've paced myself a bit better because of the heat as I was rather warm and the pads on helmet got soaked and fell off, back to no pads again.
I think I have got better at hill climbing, I managed to make it up Wirswall in one piece although I nearly copped out on one bit near the top where it gets to 10% according to bikehike.
Twas a good things I kept hydrated as I am sure such temps can put a cyclist at risk of heatstroke. I got slightly sunburnt on my arms ad my head is slightly red, probably from the helmet vents. I think next time I will put some sun cream on as I am developing some rather stark tan lines on my arms and legs!
