I have a Secteur that used to look very similar to that. I did the same adding red to it to make it look better. I changed the bar tape to red, saddle to a white one, red banded tryes, I also put new wheels on it just because the existing ones were s***, these have decals on them etc. I will have to take some pictures as it was a really dull looking bike and now looks much better.
Please do..^_^

Additional decals are usually ugly, less branding the better IMO.

Don't like coloured headset spacers or dust caps either.

I think, it looks good as it is. A bit of dirt, some well stomped in pedals and a scuff or 2 on the handlebar tape should finish it off nicely.
With the addition of your Garmin 500 at £80 that would help make it look very Blingey...:thumbsup:

Will be taking delivery of on of these this week ? and the question is because i am impatient an cant think of anything else HOW can i make it look a little more blingey NOT blingey in the over the top sense but what can i add to make it look nicer, Decals is one thing i was thinking off, but were can i get them, different coloured seat is another, red dustcaps etc etc any ideas would be welcomed OR should i just get on with some work and stop dreaming....Black and yellow need not comment ^_^
2013-SPECIALIZED-ROUBAIX.jpg

It needs mudguards, a pannier rack (tubus titanium is pretty blingy), a brooks team pro saddle. Might want to swap to a triple chainset too.

Oh, and perhaps some pedals

..... I'll get my coat

Blue/black tyres, blue or white saddle and blue bar tape. White bar tape looks too dirty after a couple of rides.

Very Nice ..love the wheels..

Cheers mate, yes they make a big difference to the way the bike looks, the flat spokes look great (just IMHO). Very, very nice bike your getting there by the way

Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp's. Absolute pig to fit on the Mavic Aksium's for the first time, fortunately I have never had a puncture with them (touch wood).

The bike used to look like this. Still did the same job but I thought it needed tarted up a bit and the wheels it came with were absolute garbage (Alexrims) the rear one kept constantly going out of true. I also bought new shifters so I could change gears on the drops. Spent a fortune and if I knew what I know now would of probably went for a Roubaix or a Secteur Elite or Comp in the first place. But it's good fun tarting them up lol.

What was the upgrade like to Tiagra? Did you need to buy a new cassette/chain?
