Got back oop North yesterday afternoon, made myself a cup of tea in the workshop and it was hardly drinkable, same again at home this morning. Am I used to Bristol water or is there actually something wrong with Yorkshire water at the moment. Bleahh.

I'll be buying a big bottle of water on the way to work, I ain't drinking that crap.

You have got used to that southern pansy water, cannot take the heavy metals in proper Yorkshire water now, lol.

I'm the same when I stay with the out-laws in cambridge, can't stand the water as I'm used to my Bolton water. I'm sure if I was there long enough I would get used to it!

I haven't noticed anything wrong with my tap water...

Maybe you better check it's not something getting into the pipes at work...

I used to have a schoolfriend who spent the first twelve years of his life in Halifax. He then came down south (his Mum was dead, Dad alkie, family across the road adopted him). He couldn't drink water down here unless it had been bottled and refrigerated first.

When I first moved to Sweden I took a major supply of tea bags with me (Tetley's, Yorkshire, Typhoo, PG Tips etc) as I am fond of the stuff.
However, the tea tasted 'off', or different!
I asked my brother to send some more over, thinking that I'd had really bad luck and bought a load of dodgy tea.
But it was the same; then I realised that the tap water is so clean and free of any (some/most?) additives that my taste bud buds were treated to a 'pure' but tastless drink.
The water in Essex is ideal for a cuppa, but in Exeter it is crap!

I take it from that you left the hallowed turf of Yorkshire and have been infested with the festering bile the southereners call water?

I think what you were actually trying to say was, "Ah got back opp t'north yisterdee aftrernoon, med misen a brew in t'workshop, 'n' it were hardley drinkable, sem agen at t'home this mornin. I 'ave bin infected by t'water in Bristol as theurs nowt wrong wi' t'yorkshire water.

Got to go and exercise me whippet old bean. Toddle pip.
