Basically i bled the brakes tonight and i have to pull the lever back about 10mm-15mm before there's braking power :-(

Has anyone got any ideas of what i might have done wrong? and how to rectify it???

The Brakes are avid juicy 3.5...
about a Year old...
Used most days and extremly on weekends...

Cheers guys,

Benneth (Ben)

Sounds like air in the system. I would try doing them again.

I had this too and in my case it transpired that it was the postion of the lever that was the issue more so than air in the system. I had a considerable amount of travel before the brakes started to engage but the system didn't feel particularly 'spongy'. I resolved it after some browsing on the web and it transpired that there are two torx type screws on the bottom side of the handle. One of these adjusts how far the lever sits from the handlebar. By slackening this screw the lever moves further away from the bar and when you go to apply the brakes the travel can be reduced to as little as you like. Don't ask me the ins and outs of how it all works, I just know that it did for me!!

Hope this helps
