I've been given a packet of black rice and am after cooking suggestions please.
I think it's proper black rice like what's here on wikipedia rather than dyed. The only useful instruction on the packet is to cook it for forty five minutes, and that's all it says.
I'm thinking risotto?
From the same source there were some dried mushrooms, should I rehydrate them with warm water and chuck them in and use the water in the stock? The interclick seems to suggest 10 minutes is ok in the water. I've not cooked with dried mushrooms before either.
