bitten the bullet, and ordered a hope 1

My $11 DX specials have lasted about two months before one has started flickering like a strobe. Figured it's only a question of time before the other one dies.

Based on reviews and posts on here I've just done a sharp intake of breath and ordered a hope 1. Although I only commute in London, I like to be seen and ride across tooting common at a reasonable tilt so that's how I justified the expense.

Looking forward to having a proper bike light finally.

I got one three weeks ago, but only use it flashing except when on tow paths and in parks. It is really bright on full beam, but hungry on batteries when used that way. I think it is a shame that they did'nt incorporate a low battery indicator, but apart from that, I'm pleased.

I have two. Only fault is due to a large crash last year I broke one of the mounts and have been looking for somewhere to get a new mount. Fair enough really. Great bit of kit.

And fair play (in a way) to wiggle. Ordered my light at 10.00 last night, and because A, I'm a man and B, watching the news and doing an internet order denote multi-tasking, I buggered up the delivery address putting home rather than work.

Emailed Wiggle straight away to get an email at 8.15 this morning to say sorry they couldn't change the address because it was already dispatched! If that's true, I'm amazed!

I hope (!) you get on better than I have with my Vision 2 which is on its way back to CRC for a second time as it refuses to switch on.

To be fair Hope have offered to replace the unit under warranty but I've asked CRC for a refund as I'm quite pissed off.

Before anyone says, I know this is very rare for Hope lights. Just my luck to get a duffer.
