The last few mornings my cycle computer hasnt worked its a wireless strada thats 1 year old.
When i say it hasnt worked, its on but just doesn't register movement/speed, like if the sensor isnt aligned correctly (which it is).
This is intermitent as it works right now. any chance the cold weather is messing it up in the morning? very annoying as im about to hit a nice landmark figure for the end of the year.

Battery in the sender unit ?

Yep, the chemicals inside the battery will be less active in the cold weather.

Time for a new one, or move somewhere warmer.

can be a bit funny as sometimes when you're riding the sun will warm up the battery and hey presto it works again! As others have said time for a new battery.

My Trek Incite is doing the same - I put a new battery in and it isn't much better. Strangely, it works much more reliably spinning the wheel backwards - why?
It was -10oC here today though - but my wireless Strada was working perfectly.

Another thing to check are the contacts in the head unit. Most have removable computers and the contacts can be susceptible to a bit of damp.
