Bird's cycle shop-Colindale

I got into cycling in the mid.50's and rode with The Northern Wheelers in North London. Our LBS was Bird's in Colindale NW9. It was tiny shop and on Sat morns there were bikes and cyclists taking up about 50 yds of pavement outside the shop. I've been wondering if there's anyone around who remembers that LBS and The Northern Wheelers ??

i think i recall that shop next to the tube? But i certainly remember going as a kid in the late 70's to collin collins on the edgware road to buy bits and bobs. Looking enviously at the 'cow horn' handle bars. Stopped doing bike stuff in the 80's and just sold motorcycles i think.
