Got my new Road bike on a straight type wall bracket presently. Got 2 other Mountain Bikes and my Son's small BMX type bike to store too, and trying to gain space in my garage. Been looking at options all round. Any ideas as to how to utilise the space better?

Are those brackets that hold the bike up by its wheel any good?

Lidl have wall mounted bike racks on sale Thursday I.think.

Just put up a row of ladder brackets mounted sideways and hang bikes vertically from one wheel.

They should be ok but you could fix a small block at bottom to hold wheel or use a strap

I think I might grab the real thing, considering there pretty cheap. I get to mount using more than one fixing that way, and not worry about them falling on my CBR either.

Thanks for the suggestion though fella.

Saw a gravity one the other day, but not sure I trust that somehow?

What's it like in reality?

I have 5x Lifeline wall rack's mounted along the garage wall. with the First, Third and Fifth mounted at the same height and the Second and Fourth one mounted lower, this allows me to hang the bikes with a slight handle bar overlap. this setup works most most of the time... except when i hang/store my DH MTB which has wider bars (this gets hung upsidedown by its rear wheel instead)

Looks like a great solution for me. Do you hang Road bikes too, or just MTB's? Did you use anchor bolts, or just rawl plugs into block work?

Not sure whether to leave my Defy on the horizontal bracket I already have, or to grab an extra wheel mount instead, to save space. Will probably grab 3 for the 2 MTB's and my Sons small BMX style bike and go from there.

Works for me - 5 bikes on a wall fairly close together, (ones not in the pic), not had any problems.

Just Rawl Plugs into brick wall. I hang both MTB's and Road bikes..

Nice on guys! Really helpful. My horizontal one holds fine into block using just 2 rawl plugs, but wondered on the vertical brackets as seems like more pressure somehow, despite the weight being the same. Lol.
