Hi guys

Recently got given a bike trailer (afraid I don't know name or make), but I've been told I'm missing the clip to attach it to my bike. The picture attach show the end section which connects to the bike. Any advice how I do this or where I can source any missing bits would be wonderful!!!

Many thanks

Craig

Looks like a similar type of attachment to this- in general principle anyway. But note there are at least two different hitches from this manufacturer which appear to have different diameters- not easy to identify from a photo. Perhaps if you can identify the trailer type it might be clearer.

You may be able to remove the hitch on the trailer you have and fit a different hitch (e.g. Burley type)

Perhaps a photo of the trailer would help to identify it?

Hi Palinurus.

I did see that before on amazon but I don't have the clips to connect it all together... I've posted a picture of the trailer below....

From the trailer picture it seems you have already the clips to attach the flexi "arm" to the trailer itself. If you can get the hitch in the link posted by @palinurus - seems it's out of stock in Amazon, then you can attach the flexi arm (don't know the proper name) of the trailer to the hitch with a seat post quick release.
I have done that with mine as I did not trust the clips it came with.

Hi Pat

Yes I do have the clips to attach the arm to my trailer, the issues I have is Connecting the arm to a bike. The clip @palinurus suggested would work, I would also need to somehow source another clip to connect the part @palinurus suggested to the arm...

Also, if anyone could let me know the actually name of these clips are where I could possibly source some more that would be great!

Take it to a Chandlery or any shop that supplies parts for yachts or boats

There are two types that could do the job for you:

The first is a "Lynch Pin" where the round part clips over to retain the bolt:

The second is a "Wire Lock Pin"

This also comes as a "Tab Lock Pin"

I use the former on the Carry Freedom

Yes, I am using a quick release taken from a bike's seat post instead of that clip.
It works, secures the trailer's arm to the bike's hitch better than the tab look pin (see @Cunobelin's post above) I am supposed to use.

You can get spare hitches so that the trailer can be swapped between cycles more easily. I hardly dare mention them but Halfrauds would be my first shop.
Nice that the Trailer came with the buggy conversion wheel kit though.
