hi.
So I am just starting up cycling. Around my area there isn't really anywhere to go so going to be driving to a cycle park and do it there.

I have a Ford Fiesta 13 plate. What would be the best bike rack for this. It doesn't have a tow bar.

I didn't want to spend too much money just in case I don't get into it as much as I want to. But wondered the best way to carry it etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Given where the lights and licence plate are on a Fiesta, chances are a bike on a rack will obscure them. So legally, you'll need a light-board, which means tying into the car's electrics. So either inside or on the roof are your best bets.

Roofbox
will sell you a set of roof bars from £55, and a solid but basic carrier (I've used them in the past) for £20.

With the back seats down, can you take the front wheel off your bike and fit it in the rear of the car?
This. You may not even to need to take the wheel off, I've got my bike in the back of a polo that way before

I'd agree with this. Just the sheer faff of putting a bike rack on every time you want to go out for a ride (and taking it off when you get home) could be enough to put you off.
If you can get the bike in the boot it will make it a lot easier. I've had two hybrid bikes in the boot of a similar sized car, with the wheels on so you should be OK.

There will be two bikes as I am doing it with my sister.

Sorry I should of mentioned there are two bikes. How easy are front wheels to get off

Very if you have quick release skewers

You should practice for front and rear in case of puncture, and changing the tubes

Assuming its a 5 door as for a three door thule at £200 is the only offered option and the feet are the bulk of the cost.
Dubious you could fit two bikes in the back of a fiesta that easily.

Lay on top of each other with a blanket between. Probably easier with front wheels off
